Interval3-D KinetiscopeWhile at Interval Research, Michael Naimark developed a 3-D immersive video experience in which the user could control the speed and time direction of a narrative story. MOTO developed the physical manifestation of this exhibit which toured through Banff, ARS Electronica and Siggraph and is now housed in the permanent collection of the American Museum of the Moving Image(www.ammi.org). The exhibit was designed as a kinetiscope on steroids. Although all of the action was digital, the physical sensations of the materials and machine feedback were recreated to create a comfortable feel for a new experience. 1997
