The Experience Music Project (EMP)Museum Exhibit Guide (MEG)
The Experience Music Project (EMP) Museum Exhibit Guide (MEG) is a vehicle
to provide patrons with audio narration about artifacts as they enjoy
Seattle's recently opened interactive music history museum. Because of
MOTO's seasoned program management and expert design team, Vulcan Ventures
(www.vnw.com) hired MOTO
to optimize the design and operation of the Museum Exhibit Guide (MEG).
MOTO met the challenge of working within the constraints of the existing
design as well as adhering to a tight schedule to have the MEG ready in
time for the museum's opening. The result was successful delivery on the
project requirements from reference design to working solution in three
weeks. Highlights of the innovative solution include an electronics system
architecture that leveraged existing CE PDA requirements, had an innovative
soft clothing that met high ID value requirements, was manufacturable,
and required no tooling lead times. 1998
