CepheidDNA Cartridge Development SystemDNA Cartridge Development System is an automated laboratory instrument used to develop both the chemistry and fluidic design of disposable cartridges for Cepheid's revolutionary desktop PCR (DNA) diagnostics product. After workng closely with Cepheid to determine the range of functionality required, MOTO minimized the development costs by specifying off-the-shelf components which were integrated with custom electronics, fluidics, mechanical, GUI, and software control sub-systems. The intuitive WindowsNT based GUI allows Cepheid to clearly demonstrate their detailed proprietary technology at trade shows as part of their sales presentations. The success of the first test system led Cepheid to contract MOTO in developing follow-on systems. 1999
