Smart Pad is a secure internet shopping solution from MySmart.com. MySmart.com retained frogdesign and MOTO to develop the MySmart.com affinity shopping portal. MOTO worked with frogdesign to develop the concept for a secure internet shopping portal using smartcard technology. The USB-compliant mouse pad with integrated smartcard reader and affinity site hotkeys was then developed by the MOTO team. Given the team's experience in USB device development, MOTO provided a smartcard reader solution at a product cost 25% of comparable solutions. The bottom line benefit is that MOTO's low cost solution has allowed MySmart to provide the 'SmartPad' to portal subscribers free, allowing the company to attract additional subscribers.
