MySmartSmart Pad
Smart Pad is a secure internet shopping solution from MySmart.com. MySmart.com retained frogdesign and MOTO to develop the MySmart.com affinity shopping portal. MOTO worked with frogdesign to develop the concept for a secure internet shopping portal using smartcard technology. The USB-compliant mouse pad with integrated smartcard reader and affinity site hotkeys was then developed by the MOTO team. Given the team's experience in USB device development, MOTO provided a smartcard reader solution at a product cost 25% of comparable solutions. The bottom line benefit is that MOTO's low cost solution has allowed MySmart to provide the 'SmartPad' to portal subscribers free, allowing the company to attract additional subscribers. MOTO's low-cost Smartcard reader solution is available for license. 1998
