CepheidMIDASMicro Integrated DNA Analysis System (MIDAS) is a mobile automated laboratory system used for the detection of pathogen agents. MOTO worked with scientists at Cepheid in the development of a system based on Cepheid's proprietary PCR, Fluid Preparation, and Cell Lysis technologies. Major components of MIDAS include Windows95 based GUI and scriptable control, micro-controller electronics, core software development, thermal cycling systems, fluid systems, pneumatic systems and mechanical design. Two systems were delivered in 14 weeks, allowing Cepheid to meet the requirements of the government contract. 1999
