Yerba Buena Gardens' ZeumAnimator's StudioOriginally named the Studio for Technology and the Arts, Zeum's mission is to foster the creativity of young people of all backgrounds by providing a hands-on, participatory environment for youth arts expression. MOTO worked with 'Zeum to develop the Artist's Studio, now know as the Animator's studio. The Artist Studio allows participants to compare and contrast traditional and digital mediums for drawing, sculpture and animation. Working with 'Zeum, MOTO conceived and developed all of the installations in the Artist Studio. The Artist Studio was conceived as a workshop rather than a series of exhibits. The studio functioned in two modes-- exhibit and workshop--to support the various activities and traffic levels. Participants are encouraged to leave their work in the studio for others to build on and to give them a sense of investment and ownership in the workshop. MOTO's work for 'Zeum was sited as one of the highpoints of the new museum in early press articles. 2002
